Thanks to the hard work of Paddy Cassey Construction the first stage of the renovation of the Hall of Clestrain has been accomplished.
The building was in desparate need for protection from the elements. Orkney gets some severe weather at times and we were advised by the surveyors to carry out some basic works to help the Hall start to dry out.
So we have had new gutters and rown pipes, the holes in the roof have been patched and the windows and doors have been covered up to stop the weather and the birds. The gutter and pipes are new style for ease and cost but will be replaced when the full restoration is done.
Thanks to you all who have made it possible so far. Now for the next stage!
